It was a pleasure to join one of our key sponsors, NetApp, at their launch of the Soldiering On ‘8 Voices One Story’ exhibition at their Head Office in Uxbridge, London. We received a fabulous welcome and people were very generous with their support for the Grand Raffle and the Hotties Calendar.  Eneshia, Mel and Emma also had a great time.

Paul Wooding, NetApp’s Enterprise Sales Director, says:  “As one of Soldiering On’s founding corporate sponsors NetApp was keen to support their latest initiative the “8 Voices One Story” exhibition by providing the display a temporary corporate base to further expose the moving stories to our employees, customers and partners. NetApp takes its role in the promotion of community support very seriously and it is through activities such as this that NetApp values have been recognised the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces survey with number 3 ranking for the fourth consecutive year. The NetApp UK team would like to congratulate the Soldiering On Trustees for the vision and hard work to bring these stories to life and to allow us the opportunity to share them with so many others. ”

In meeting the staff and seeing the work environment, it’s evident why NetApp is regarded as one of the world’s best companies to work for. In terms of people, the data storage and cloud computing company focuses on specialised, individual recognition. NetApp CEO Tom Georgens has a rule: when one of his employees hits a rough patch, he wants to know. The reason: he wants to make sure every possible resource is available to his employees when they need it the most.

It’s great to have enlightened companies like NetApp behind Soldiering On!  The exhibition itself  gives inspirational first hand accounts of those who have soldiered on and achieved in the face if adversity, and the recognition that we give via our activities has a synergy with the NetApp approach to people.  Thanks to All at NetApp for their generosity.
