The Soldiering on Through Life Trust Awards Night 2014 wll be held on Saturday 5th April, between 6.00pm and 1am, at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge, London SE1 7UT.

The Awards night is the main Soldiering on Through Life Trust event of the year. At this year's Symposium, COBSEO singled out the Soldiering On Awards as the main Military Awards Night to support the whole Armed Forces Community. All of the military charities across the sector have been encouraged to put forward nominations for consideration before the closing date, which was 15 Nov 13.

In recognition of our support to all the military charities, the UJC has again agreed that all of the attendees of the Soldiering On Awards can stay at the Union Jack Club (next to Waterloo Stn) as Temporary Honorary Members (THM). The Award Categories
1. The Patrons Award - Lifetime Achievement - Headline Award
To recognise an individual or group who, through a lifetime of service, has provided a significant contribution in support of the Armed Forces Community.
2. The International Award - honouring non-UK Service Personnel
To recognise an international group or individual that has, through support to the UK Armed Forces Community, been inspirational and outstanding in their achievements. A successful nomination will have shown how international barriers can be overcome in supporting the wider community.
3. The Families Award
To recognise an individual or family that has provided outstanding support to an injured person or people who have served their country.
4. Against All Odds Award
To recognise an individual, who in spite of injuries sustained in the Service of their country, has set an example for others to follow in his or her determination and courage to overcome their injury or disability.
5. Sporting Endeavour Award
To recognise an individual who has reached beyond their disability or injury to inspire others through their sporting achievements.
6. Bowman Training Award
To recognise an individual or organisation that has given exceptional training and support in helping individual(s) overcome life-changing injuries.
7. Pets At Home - Canine Award (nominations now closed)
Nominations to be announced soon for Pets at Home voting to take place. More information on how to vote will be provided in due course
8. Sunday Mirror - National Readers Award
Selected nominations will be put forward to the readers of the Sunday Mirror to vote for their winner by early March 14.
